Perkins-Tryon Elementary Coin Drive: A Heartfelt Success for the Love Bomb Initiative

Addi Clay, a Kindergarten student at Perkins-Tryon Elementary, proudly accepts a check for $1,700 raised during the Coin Drive for the Rural Gone Urban Foundation's Love Bomb Initiative, on behalf of her aunt, Brooke Clay Taylor.

From October 21 to 25, Perkins-Tryon Elementary School in Perkins, Okla. hosted a spirited coin drive to raise funds for the Rural Gone Urban Foundation's Love Bomb Initiative. We are thrilled to announce students, faculty, and families came together to raise an impressive $1,700!

The coin drive encouraged students to collect spare change in a friendly competition, with the classroom that raised the most money earning a pizza party. This initiative not only fostered community spirit but also taught the students the value of giving back and supporting those in need.

The Love Bomb Initiative is a vital program of the Rural Gone Urban Foundation, designed to provide judgment-free financial support to women in the ring with cancer.

These funds enable recipients to create lasting memories with their loved ones during their fight, covering costs for experiences and necessities that bring joy and comfort during challenging times.

In this heartfelt video captured after a fun night of trick-or-treating, Rural Gone Urban Foundation board president and founder Brooke Taylor shares the significance of the Love Bomb Initiative. This video was shared with Perkins-Tryon Elementary students on November 1.

Brooke Taylor, a proud alumna of Perkins-Tryon Schools Class of '05, shared a heartfelt video message with the elementary students, highlighting the importance of their contributions and the impact they would have on women facing cancer challenges.

On November 1, Brooke's niece, Addi Clay, who is in Kindergarten, had the honor of accepting the check on behalf of the Rural Gone Urban Foundation. This moment was a beautiful representation of family and community coming together to make a difference.

A special thank you to Perkins-Tryon Elementary for their dedication and effort in supporting the Love Bomb Initiative. Your contributions will help uplift women who are in the ring with cancer, reminding them they are not alone in the trenches.
