I Pink I Can: A Heartfelt Celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness
On October 11, Pure Skin and Aesthetics hosted its 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness event, “I Pink I Can,” in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This inspiring gathering brought together survivors, supporters, and community members to celebrate resilience and raise awareness about breast cancer. In partnership with the Rural Gone Urban Foundation, the event aimed to honor those who have faced the challenges of breast cancer and to support ongoing efforts in the fight against this disease.
The day was filled with pink-themed decor, delightful sips, sweet treats, and goodie bags, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all attendees. Participants enjoyed a variety of treatments and services, knowing that a portion of all proceeds would be donated to the Rural Gone Urban Foundation in honor of Ashley Crews, who was an integral supporter of the Foundation and who bravely took down cancer with her earlier this year.
The event raised an impressive $1,300, a testament to the community's commitment to supporting those affected by breast cancer.
Foundation founder Brooke Taylor expressed her gratitude for the turnout, stating, “This event was so meaningful for us as a Foundation. Raising awareness about breast cancer is crucial, especially when we consider that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with this disease in their lifetime. Events like ‘I Pink I Can’ remind us of the strength of our community and the importance of coming together for a common cause.”
Statistics show early detection is vital, yet 30 percent of women who are diagnosed at an early stage face the possibility of being upgraded to stage 4 eventually. “It’s essential we not only support those currently in the trenches of a cancer diagnosis, but also educate our community about the realities of breast cancer. Every voice matters, and every dollar raised helps us make a difference,” Brooke added.
The “I Pink I Can” event exemplified the spirit of compassion and support that the Rural Gone Urban Foundation stands for. The foundation is dedicated to empowering women through scholarships, small business grants, and love bombs, and this event perfectly aligned with that mission.
As the evening concluded, participants left feeling inspired and connected, knowing they had contributed to a cause that affects so many lives. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, helping to spread awareness and bring hope to those in the battle against breast cancer. Together, we can continue to make a significant impact in our community and beyond.
