Pink Forage Bales from Standlee Support Breast Cancer Nonprofits, Including Rural Gone Urban Foundation
In October, the familiar green and gold of Standlee Premium Western Forage® takes on a new shade. Across barns, feed stores, and pastures, pink Grab & Go® bales begin to appear—visible symbols of support for families living with breast cancer.
Each bale represents a story—of a mother balancing treatment with morning chores, of a daughter riding alongside her horse for a moment of relief, of families finding ways to carry hope alongside hardship.
This year, Standlee has selected a small group of nonprofits to receive proceeds from pink bale sales, including the Rural Gone Urban Foundation. The lineup also features Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Riding Beyond, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Horses and Hope. Together, these organizations reflect the broad ways breast cancer touches lives—from research and advocacy to direct patient support.
For Every Pink Bale Purchased, A Portion Of Proceeds Supports Breast Cancer Research And Support Programs.
For the Rural Gone Urban Foundation, the support translates into Love Bombs—judgment-free grants for women navigating cancer. The grants are designed to create space for legacies, memories, or simply a moment of relief where cancer isn’t in control.
“Seeing a pink bale is a reminder that agriculture shows up for its own,” said Brooke Taylor, founder of Rural Gone Urban. “These partnerships turn everyday work—feeding livestock, running a ranch—into something bigger than all of us.”
The initiative, called Grab, Go & Give, is simple: when you purchase a pink bale, you’re not only nourishing animals, you’re fueling impact in communities nationwide.
For the families who see them stacked in a barn or carried out of a store, the bales stand quietly as something else too—a promise that hope, like forage, is part of the harvest.
