Faith and Family: Brandy Clevenger's Triumph Over Adversity

Brandy Clevenger and her family.

Ten months after the birth of her first child, Brandy Clevenger faced a bowel obstruction with no apparent cause. What followed was over a decade of GI bleeding, pain, and numerous misdiagnoses, including a catch-all diagnosis of IBS.

Throughout those years, Brandy balanced her health struggles with earning a Master’s degree, raising three more children, and working as a school counselor. Finally, another bowel obstruction led to a CT scan that resulted in her diagnosis of Stage 4 Neuroendocrine Tumor of the Small Intestine and Secondary Metastatic Neuroendocrine Cancer of the Liver.

“My official diagnosis is recent and has shaken me to the core, but I’m thankful to finally know what the heck is wrong with me,” Brandy shared. With the support of her husband, Scott, and their four children, Brandy remains steadfast in her faith.

With her Love Bomb, Brandy plans to invest in creating memories with her family. Life filled with doctor appointments tends to have a ripple effect on family dynamics, so the opportunity to simply get away and be together is the ultimate goal.

“I have so many passions in life, and my greatest is my faith and relationship with Jesus. He is my absolute rock and has carried me through so many dark times of depression and my current battle with cancer.”

Family. Faith. And a Love Bomb. What more could you need?
