Jessica Pieniadz, Synovial Sarcoma

Wife of twenty years. Loving mom of nine children. NICU nurse. Loud. Tattooed, high-heel-loving, rockabilly-dress-wearing devotee of all things retro. This is Jessica Pieniadz (@sufferingsurvivingsarcoma).

In 2021, Synovial Sarcoma was added to Jessica's list of descriptors. While Synovial Sarcoma is now one of her many descriptors, it does not define her.

What does define Jessica is her faith and her family. She is the woman who cheers for other women and brings newcomers into the tribe. Jessica's friend Natalie and Love Bomb nominator said "She taught me that women CAN get together and drink coffee and build community and avoid gossip."

That is our kind of woman.

Natalie says Jessica "takes care of the most vulnerable of us all. She comforts parents with sick children and children as they are healing. She has a great, big family and time commitments galore, but she is ALWAYS there to help anyone that needs her!"

We need more Jessica in the world.

Love Bombs Committee

The Love Bombs committee is comprised of women who received their very own invitation to the cancer club and walked unique paths of survivorship and active treatment.

Whatever you want to call the financial contribution, Rural Gone Urban Foundation Inc. awards judgment-free grants to women in the ring with cancer who are focused on establishing a living legacy for their loved ones.

Because sometimes you just need someone in your corner.
